I am a singing teacher and offer singing lessons for beginners, amateurs and advanced singers via video (Zoom, Skype, Facetime) or in Berlin at Theaterhaus Mitte (U-Bahn Märkisches Museum).
How many hours per month are reasonable?
You decide. Some want to sing an hour a week. Others take only a couple of hours a month because because they can’t do more, but there is at least a certain regularity.
What previous experience should I have?
There is no rule here. Professionals have different expectations and goals from those who want to develop their skills in their free time. The important thing is to enjoy singing and to be able to make the music you like and get to where you want to be. Otherwise, it helps to want to discover something, to improve yourself – and a bit of courage helps too. Because if you’re too self-critical, questioning yourself every time you’re not happy with a note or a phrase, that is not really helpful. Sometimes you just have to stay on the ball for a while to make things work: that’s completely normal.
CONDITIONS
One trial lesson: 50 Euro
One singing lesson: 70 Euro
A singing lesson lasts 60 minutes
What is the payment procedure?
A trial lesson is paid on the day of the lesson in cash, via bank transfer or Paypal.
For regular lessons, I ask you to set up a standing order.
If you or I are unable to attend due to vacations, I will offer additional appointments in the weeks leading up to the start of the vacation so that we can still meet the agreed number of hours.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start of the lesson will be charged the full amount. I ask for your understanding for this rule, otherwise scheduling lessons would be a nightmare.
